1 Scope & provider
These terms of use govern the use of the NATURFACTOR App (iOS and Android) provided by NF Cosmetics GmbH, Tannenweg 36, 85399 Hallbergmoos, Germany (see Legal Notice). Purchases in the NATURFACTOR online shop are subject to the shop's separate terms and conditions.
2 Description of services
The NATURFACTOR App is a companion for skincare and skin-related lifestyle observation. Based on your entries and shared data, it provides model-based insights (including the Skin Quality Score, Age Factor, and factor analyses) and supports you with routines and rituals.
Not a medical device, no medical advice: The app serves lifestyle and cosmetic purposes only. All scores and insights are model-based lifestyle estimates — not a medical finding, not a diagnosis, not a treatment recommendation. If you have skin problems or health concerns, please consult a physician. The app does not replace medical advice.
3 Registration & account
An account is required to use the app (email code, Sign in with Apple, or Google Sign-In). You must be at least 18 years old. Keep your credentials confidential; you are responsible for activities through your account to the extent attributable to you.
4 Free basic use
The app's basic features are free of charge. There is no entitlement to the permanent, unchanged availability of individual free features; Section 8 remains unaffected.
5 Memberships (in-app purchases)
a) When purchased via the App Store (iOS)
Extended features may require paid memberships (e.g., Rhythm, Care). Purchase, billing, and management are handled through your Apple account under the Apple Media Services terms. Prices, duration, and renewal are displayed in the purchase dialog before you buy; subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled in your Apple ID settings at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Information on the right of withdrawal and refunds is provided by Apple during the purchase process.
b) When purchased via Google Play (Android)
Extended features may require paid memberships (e.g., Rhythm, Care). Purchase, billing, and management are handled through your Google account under the Google Play Terms of Service. Prices, duration, and renewal are displayed in the purchase dialog before you buy; subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period in your Google Play subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for. Refunds are handled by Google Play.
6 Rights of use
We grant you a simple, non-transferable right to use the app on your devices for your own private purposes for the duration of your use. App content (texts, graphics, models, score visualizations) is protected; any use outside the app requires our consent. NATURFACTOR® is a registered trademark of NF Cosmetics GmbH.
7 User obligations
You agree not to misuse the app — in particular, not to circumvent protective mechanisms, not to perform automated access, and not to infringe third-party rights. Your entries must relate to yourself.
8 Availability & further development
We strive for high availability but do not owe uninterrupted accessibility (e.g., during maintenance). We continuously develop the app and may adapt features where reasonable for you; your statutory rights (Sections 327 et seq. of the German Civil Code for digital products) remain unaffected.
9 Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body, or health. In cases of slight negligence, we are liable only for the breach of essential contractual obligations (cardinal obligations), limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract. Liability under the German Product Liability Act remains unaffected.
10 Data protection
Information on the processing of your data can be found in the Privacy Policy (in the app under Profile → Legal).
11 Term & termination
You may stop using the app at any time and delete your account in the app (Settings → Delete account). We may terminate the user agreement with reasonable notice or suspend accounts in the event of significant violations of these terms; statutory rights remain unaffected.
12 Changes to these terms
We will announce changes to these terms in the app. Changes materially affecting your rights require your consent.
13 Final provisions
German law applies. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of your habitual residence remain unaffected. Should individual provisions be invalid, the remainder of the agreement remains effective. We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
14 Third-party licences
The ambient music used in the app — "Breath of Renewal" (JoyInSound) and "Breath of Fire" (Jakob Welik) — comes from Pixabay and is licensed under the Pixabay Content License; attribution is not required and is provided voluntarily.
